MSSC approached Abigail, our Creative Director to ask whether she could support them with the interior design and personalisation of their new HQ in Lambeth. In April 2023, it was opened officially by The Princess Royal, for which both Abigail and Phil were invited to attend.
Abigail’s team designed 5 multifunctional meeting rooms, staff break-out spaces, a reception area and the events/kitchen space also known as the galley. Central to the scheme was a two-storey timeline illustrating the organisations rich history within the central stair core and a resolved scheme for wayfinding across the building.

“We were keen to embrace the organisations clear brand playbook, by adopting the colour palettes and even type facing across the space. We personalised nautical shipping maps and created whole wallpaper from them for some of the meeting spaces; whilst in others, 7-meter long black and white photography of Sea Cadets flagship vessel, TS Royalist spans the other.” – Abigail Tromans, Creative Director

The project with MSSC is a testament to the breadth of skill and design credentials across our in-house interiors team. Working on live projects now and then keeps our design team’s skill set relevant and fresh. Designing for CGI has it’s own demands and pleasures, but for a designer, there is nothing quite like walking through the space you imagined in your mind and feeling the fixtures and fabrics you curated.
